Originally from Argentina, Antonella Schmidt is a certified yoga teacher who graduated from the Ananda Yoga Center in Buenos Aires, known for its experienced educators and demanding formation. She followed extensive training in Hatha Yoga and Yoga therapy, as well as anatomy and Yoga philosophy, and keeps on educating herself through specialized programs of Yoga study.

Antonella is also certified to practice deep tissue massage and reflexology.

It is in Jerusalem that she discovered the Iyengar method. Noticing first hand the amazing results that it brought on to her own health and practice, and overwhelmed by its potential, she has dedicated herself from then on to the study, practice and teaching of the Iyengar method.

Antonella founded the studio in 2014 and has been teaching there ever since.

Each student works at their own level and is given elements like belts, blocks, bolsters and kuruntas to work which either support and soften the poses or to deepen and challenge the poses.

Kuruntas (rope wall) are especially beneficial for spine health through use of traction to relieve pressure from compressed vertebral discs. They can also be used to create deep opening in the organic body, which nourishes the organs, soothes the nerves, and quiets the mind.

There are two levels, one for beginners and the other for intermediate practitioners with one year of experience practicing yoga minimum.

Earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (the study of Human Movement) in 2000 & Teaching Certificate K-12 Physical Education and Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology in 2001. Certified to teach movement classes since 1995, a former NCAA (Div 1) Track & Field athlete, and a many summers past white water raft guide, I tried yoga as a dare after teaching a ski conditioning class in 2003. Since that day, I continue to thank yoga, mindful movement, outdoor adventures, my teachers & students for introducing me to a healthier relationship with my body, my friends, family, community, Mother Nature and beyond. Forever a somatic nerd and embodiment geek, I am passionate to share practical tools and help guide curious beings to find their paddle as we navigate the flow of everyday life.

In 2005, I completed my first 200 hr Teacher Training certification at CorePower Yoga in Vinyasa style, where I taught all levels of CorePower, Yoga Sculpt, and Vinyasa Styles. Also, I was certified in Budokon (yoga & martial arts) , YogaEd (yoga for children) & completed 300 hr Anusara Yoga teacher training. In my continuous learning, I have training and experience in Hot Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yin, Yoga Sculpt, Restorative and Therapeutics. Life led me to hike, practice and teach yoga with various teachers , 6 months amongst the colorful chaos of Northern India and Nepal. In 2015, I completed 300hr Yoga Therapeutics with Rachel Krentzman ( RPT, E-RYT of Embody Physical Therapy & Yoga) (2015) , Thai Massage Flow with Erin Kammerer (2016), and Mat Pilates Certification (September 2017). I learned with Livia Cohen-Shapiro on How to Create a Psychologically Sound Yoga Classroom and completed TRE (Tension & Release Exercises) Module 1, and Anatomy Trains in Motion in Oct 2018. I trained in Yoga for PTSD/Trauma with Suzanne Manafort and Patty Townsend of Mindful Yoga Therapy In March 2019.
