Earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (the study of Human Movement) in 2000 & Teaching Certificate K-12 Physical Education and Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology in 2001. Certified to teach movement classes since 1995, a former NCAA (Div 1) Track & Field athlete, and a many summers past white water raft guide, I tried yoga as a dare after teaching a ski conditioning class in 2003. Since that day, I continue to thank yoga, mindful movement, outdoor adventures, my teachers & students for introducing me to a healthier relationship with my body, my friends, family, community, Mother Nature and beyond. Forever a somatic nerd and embodiment geek, I am passionate to share practical tools and help guide curious beings to find their paddle as we navigate the flow of everyday life.

In 2005, I completed my first 200 hr Teacher Training certification at CorePower Yoga in Vinyasa style, where I taught all levels of CorePower, Yoga Sculpt, and Vinyasa Styles. Also, I was certified in Budokon (yoga & martial arts) , YogaEd (yoga for children) & completed 300 hr Anusara Yoga teacher training. In my continuous learning, I have training and experience in Hot Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yin, Yoga Sculpt, Restorative and Therapeutics. Life led me to hike, practice and teach yoga with various teachers , 6 months amongst the colorful chaos of Northern India and Nepal. In 2015, I completed 300hr Yoga Therapeutics with Rachel Krentzman ( RPT, E-RYT of Embody Physical Therapy & Yoga) (2015) , Thai Massage Flow with Erin Kammerer (2016), and Mat Pilates Certification (September 2017). I learned with Livia Cohen-Shapiro on How to Create a Psychologically Sound Yoga Classroom and completed TRE (Tension & Release Exercises) Module 1, and Anatomy Trains in Motion in Oct 2018. I trained in Yoga for PTSD/Trauma with Suzanne Manafort and Patty Townsend of Mindful Yoga Therapy In March 2019. I am a certified Embodied Yoga Principles Teacher https://www.embodiedyogaprinciples.com/ leading Embodiment workshops and weave EYP into my public classes . I trained to teach on the Pilates reformer as well as certified in a 300 hr Yoga Therapy course with Iris Klein of Svashta Yoga https://www.svastha.net/. Originally from Argentina, Antonella Schmidt is a certified yoga teacher who graduated from the Ananda Yoga Center in Buenos Aires, known for its experienced educators and demanding formation. She followed extensive training in Hatha Yoga and Yoga therapy, as well as anatomy and Yoga philosophy, and keeps on educating herself through specialized programs of Yoga study.

Antonella is also certified to practice deep tissue massage and reflexology.

It is in Jerusalem that she discovered the Iyengar method. Noticing first hand the amazing results that it brought on to her own health and practice, and overwhelmed by its potential, she has dedicated herself from then on to the study, practice and teaching of the Iyengar method.

Antonella founded the studio in 2014 and has been teaching there ever since.

Each student works at their own level and is given elements like belts, blocks, bolsters and kuruntas to work which either support and soften the poses or to deepen and challenge the poses.

We were tired of looking so we decided to open Jerusalem Gymnastics, a place where people can have the gymnastics experience that so many of us had as children (and some of us still do!) We strive to create a creative atmosphere with focus, confidence, strength and happiness. Gymnastics is known as being the foundation for movement, enriching and energizing our bodies for life. It is so important to us and we feel that it is our job to teach this gift to others, young and old. Everyone enjoys being fit and feeling accomplished. We currently have 2 locations and hope that we will soon have more!

Leah is an outstanding Gymnastics teacher, professional and devoted to her students. My two boys age 8 and 6 will be enrolling for a second year to her classes. The day of the week that they have Gymnastics with Leah is really a very important outlet for them and they not only love it, they need it as in their Cheder system there is no sports! It gives them the opportunity to learn and explore and strengthen their bodies and have a fun experience in English as well as in Hebrew.


Leah is a pleasure to deal with. She is simply a breathe of fresh air.

My daughter attended her gymnastics center, iWorkout, in America, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish!

All the initial correspondence was organized and extremely professional , providing all the info needed. My daughters specific needs and desires were taken into account for class placement. Classes were small, allowing for lots of individualized attention. Leah is extremely patient, creating a calm, non pressured atmosphere where the girls can accelerate at their own pace. Leah provided encouragement when needed and compliments for accomplishments, however small. I was present for the last 5 minutes of every class and personally observed all of the above as well as many groups of bouncing, jumping, happy girls!

My daughter gained strength, endurance and most of all confidence, all while having fun!
